We had thoroughly enjoyable time at the hotel and would come back for sure. Recently renovated venue, we had a functional room with a stunningly beautiful view. The bus stop was 100 metres away. Free Wi-Fi was excellent and the service was very good.

Checked in with high hopes, but wow, was I let down! The room was so hot, I thought I was in a sauna. The hot tap barely worked, and the TV was just dead. Plus, the staff was either clueless or unhelpful. Breakfast was cold and just terrible. I ended up grabbing a McDonald's down the street, way better.

Came here for 1 day, the hotel was beautifully decorated, it had ideal location right by the leisure complex as well as dual carriageway. Loved the room with a nice view, my bed was comfy. The most important was the staff - amiable and amicable people. The main bar was a delightful surprise. The service was good and the food was outstanding.

We were there with our 2yr old and the staff (bar, restaurant) was extremely friendly and helpfull
The hotel is very (very) close to the Motorway and has no airconditioning - we had a window open but woke up at 0500 because of the car noise. Furthermore the swimming pool and changing rooms there are very basic and dirty- floor at pool very slippery for kids - not recommendable.

Nice large hotel, very easy to get to, good large modern rooms, stafff we very polite & helpfully. Well run hotel.
I only thing that I would say was over the top was the price of breakfast £13.50 ?

Well appointed room. The leisure centre with swimming pool is very good and the pool is open until 10pm mid-week. Staff are friendly.
How to control the heating system in the room was not clear. One of the lights did not work. Not the cheapest of hotels.

I appreciated how clean and spacious the room was, along with the friendly cleaning staff. The nearby Colchester Zoo and the scenic Gosbecks Archaeological Park provided perfect walking opportunities to discover local charm.

the staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and good value for money. The kids were made to feel welcome which means a relaxing break for the parents.
It was a shame that half the spa facilities were out of order but the kids enjoyed the pool.
